What are organic freeze-dried strawberries?
Our Organic Freeze Dried Strawberries are made from 100% ripe, sweet strawberries. Freeze-drying removes water from the fruit and 100g is equivalent to about 1kg of bulk organic freeze-dried strawberries. The gentle freeze-drying and freeze-drying process preserves the natural character of the fruit as well as the typical taste, color, and nutritional values, without adding any preservatives or colors – just 100% strawberries!
To help stop freeze-dried fruits from softening, temperatures should not exceed 20°C and relative humidity 65%. Because these conditions can vary depending on the season, weather conditions, and delivery location, organic freeze-dried strawberries can sometimes become mushy. Since these are factors beyond our control, please note that we cannot accept returns on freeze-dried products if they have become soft. Once the product is in your possession, we advise that you quickly reseal the bag after opening it, or if pouring it into a container, make sure it is airtight and completely dry as any exposure to air or moisture will cause the product to become soft.
